Biography
Joshua Dilan joined Jal N. Karbhari & Co. in 2024. Being born and raised in Hong Kong and, as a member of an ethnic minority community, having witnessed firsthand the barriers that can hinder access to effective legal representation, he developed a strong interest in the law from a young age. These early experiences shaped his enduring commitment to justice and equality within the legal system.
He holds an Associate of Arts in Legal Studies (AALS, 2024) from HKU SPACE and subsequently received an offer to read law at the City University of Hong Kong, where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), expected to graduate in 2028.
Joshua has a solid grounding in legal principles and demonstrates a strong aptitude for legal analysis and research. He routinely assists the firm’s solicitors across a broad range of matters, including criminal, civil, commercial, matrimonial, and probate proceedings, supporting case preparation through comprehensive legal research, case law analysis, and the organisation of pleadings and supporting documentation.
In recognition of his dedication to community service, Joshua was awarded a Pro Bono Award in 2025, reflecting his hard work and sustained commitment to contributing meaningfully to the community through legal assistance and outreach initiatives.
